Managing Redirects (Premium)

Redirect Manager lets you create and manage redirects, plus import existing ones from other plugins.

Create a Redirect

  1. Go to Technical Auditor > Redirects
  2. Click Add New
  3. Enter source URL
  4. Enter target URL
  5. Choose redirect type:
    • 301 - Permanent redirect (recommended for SEO)
    • 302 - Temporary redirect
    • 307 - Temporary redirect (preserves HTTP method)
  6. Save

Import from Other Plugins

You can import existing redirects from:

  • Yoast SEO Premium
  • Rank Math
  • Redirection plugin
  • CSV file

Import Steps

  1. Go to Redirects > Import
  2. Select source
  3. Review redirects to be imported
  4. Click Import

Features

  • Wildcard patterns: Match multiple URLs with wildcards
  • Redirect chains: Detect and warn about chain redirects
  • Hit counting: See how often each redirect is used
  • 404 monitoring: View 404 errors and create redirects

Best Practices

  • Always use 301 for permanent page moves
  • Avoid redirect chains (A → B → C)
  • Review 404 logs regularly
  • Remove redirects to deleted pages
